boxChilli first started working with this Owton’s back in 2021, where we were tasked to help scale their home delivery aspect of the business using WooCommerce. Combining an email, social media and SEO strategy (in conjunction with a new website in 2022) has led to gradual growth each year, with Christmas 2023 being a record breaking period for the client.
Our SEO strategy primarily consisted of getting category and product pages into a position where they capture high-intent traffic as well as providing useful content so that the eCommerce side of the website started generating sales. We overhauled the existing product pages (over 200 products listed) – this in turn meant individual products were ranking highly on SERPs beating the likes of Tesco, Waitrose, M&S and more!
In conjunction with this SEO strategy, we successfully leveraged an organic social media strategy to boost sales. Our focus was on producing original, engaging content that connected with our audience, which led to an increase in customer engagement and placed orders.

Generated a 69% increase in new customer sales, 41% increase in online sales and smashed the previous sales in one day by over 25%.
Started ranking for over 10,000 new keywords within 6 months, leading to direct sales. In one instance, a product specific keyword that wasn’t ranking in 2022 (now 1st at the time of writing), generated a 1564% increase in sales YoY.
Targeting seasonal and product specific keywords helped generate a 153% increase in organic website traffic and 198% boost in impressions.
