On Wednesday the boxChilli team were invited to the official launch of Cage Cricket (www.cagecricket.com) at The Rose Bowl, in Hampshire.

The event was hosted by Sir Ian Botham and was attended by other celebrities such as Colin Salmon and top cricket stars such as Pakistan star Shahid Afridi.

boxChilli media have been involved with Cage Cricket from the start, some four years ago, after we were recommended to the founders, Trevor McArdle and Lawerence Pittipaul. We’ve had to, until now, keep a lot of what we were doing under wraps, but now after the official launch we can say what we’ve been up to! which we’ll do in a separate posting, for now let’s concentrate on the guys big day.

In the picture on the left you can see some of the Cage Cricket ‘family’ left to right:

Lawerence Pittiapaul (Founder) / Sir Ian Botham / Rod Bransgrove (owner of Rose Bowl Plc, Hampshire County Cricket Club) / Colin Salmon (Actor) / Lord Hutton – Baron Of Furness / Trevor McArdle (Founder) – the children are Trevors and Colins.

It was a fantastic event, after the launch, everyone stayed and mingled together, Anders Bohea, boxChilli Media MD was veryhappy as he got to finally meet Colin Salmon, after speaking to him on the phone on a few occasions, and tried to keep secret he is a huge Bond fan, but failed!

After some food and wine we then all stayed, thanks to Rob Bransgrove to watch Hampshire win against Somerset in the first twenty/20 game of the season. Trevor and Lawrence have just been in the office to give us a personal thank you for all the work we have achieved so far for them, and to heap some more on us! (Cage Cricket iphone app, more on that later).

Well done to everyone involved for such a massive effort so far, more to come! but in the meantime head over to Cage Cricket and see what it’s all about.
