COVID-19: Google Ads Credits – What you need to know

What are Google Ad Credits?

Google has created a Google Ads credits scheme to alleviate some of the costs for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) whilst we all tackle the challenges going on in the world right now. Google is offering these businesses worldwide $340 million in ad credits, which can be used at any point until the end of 2020 across Google Ad Platforms. This is part of a commitment from Google to support SMEs during this pandemic. Google has stated that they believe SMEs are the backbone of the community and as COVID-19 has created more of a challenge to this demographic, they want to alleviate some of the stress and allow them to keep on connecting with clients. If you need expert guidance on spending these credits, a PPC agency can ensure you get the most benefit for your business.

Am I eligible for Google Ad Credits?

If you are an SME who advertises directly through Google or through partnerships, you could be eligible for Google Ad Credits. They are being offered worldwide to those who have accounts which have been active since the start of 2019 and who comply with all Google Ads T&Cs. These credits will be suitable across the Google Ads platform including Search, Display, and YouTube, as well as all campaign types. Anyone eligible will be informed over the coming months whether they will receive credits, which expire on 31st December 2020. Any unused credits will be removed from your account.
